What are exclusions?

Exclusions are dynamic lists of companies or people that you want to prevent Unify from taking action on. Common use cases include:
  1. Exclude current customers
  2. Exclude in-flight deals
  3. Exclude competitors
Exclusions match companies and people based on configurable filters. This means you don’t need to maintain static lists of companies or people to exclude. Instead, you can set up rules that automatically exclude companies or people that meet certain criteria.

Walkthrough

1

Create a new exclusion

Go to Settings > Exclusions and select New exclusion.
2

Add filters

The exclusion builder allows you to define filters that select which companies or people should be matched and excluded.
You can select whether this exclusion applies to companies or people. When applied to companies, any person that is associated with a matched company will also be excluded.
You can add as many filters as you’d like, and nearly any data within Unify can be used to create filters. This includes CRM records and custom objects.
3

Save and apply

Save the exclusion to keep its matching companies or people up to date as their data changes. You can edit its filters at any time. For users assigned to an engagement policy, add the exclusion to that policy and choose its claiming and engagement behavior. The policy’s selected exclusions determine the restrictions for those users.
